TR Therapy

TR-Therapy is a multi-disciplinary device which covers vast number of both acute and chronic sport injuries and musculoskeletal disorders indications. Whether you prefer massage, passive motion, muscle activation or other techniques, TR-Therapy can be used with all of them. This concept dramatically enhances the results and cuts the recovery time significantly so one can return back to what they love. Sure the therapy is very pleasant as the heat spreads through one’s body, but it is also supported by valid medical effects it causes, such as myorelaxation, analgesia and others.

INDICATIONS

CONCEPT

Most physical modalities do not allow the therapist to use their unique manual techniques they can offer as an added value. TR-Therapy concept is different. The therapy allows to be used with various techniques bringing even better outcomes and even faster recovery. While using Targeted Radiofrequency Therapy, massage, passive motion, muscle activation and other techniques can be used.

MASSAGE

TR-Therapy in combination with soft tissue techniques enhances the therapeutic effect by increasing the blood perfusion and the nutrient, oxygen and defense-agent supply of the treated tissue. The combination, used for reflexively caused muscular hypertonus, leads to its faster and easier removal.

Medical Effects

Athermic

Alternating current flowing through the tissue creates faster ion movement which causes an increase in activity of the lymphatic system and results in athermic effects.

Thermic

Thermal medical effects are based on vasodilatation causing a targeted local increase of blood perfusion and in consequence myorelaxation, increased oxygen and nutrient supply and healing support.

Edema reduction

Chronic inflammation occurs when the inflammation response is not completely halted. It can damage healthy tissue and results in chronic pain.

Anti-inflammatory effect

Nutrient blood flow is necessary to start and maintain the repair processes of damaged tissue structure. The application of acoustic waves creates capillary microruptures in tendon and bone.

Toxin absorption

The production of a sufficient amount of collagen is a necessary precondition for the repair processes of the damaged myoskeletal and ligamentous structures.

Healing support

Calcium build-up is most often the result of micro-tears or other trauma to a tendon. Acoustic waves break up the existing calcifications.

Muscle relaxation

Substance P is a neurotransmitter that mediates pain information through the C-fibers. This neuropeptide is generally associated with intense, persistent and chronic pain.

Analgesic effect

Trigger points are the principal cause of pain in the back, neck, shoulder and limbs. They are associated with palpable nodules in taut bands of muscle fibers and have extremely contracted sarcomeres.

Mechanism of Action

TR-Therapy transfers radiofrequency energy through tissue using either capacitive or resistive applicator. Capacitive mode is used to treat superficial structures, such as skin and muscles. Resistive way of application treats deep structures, such as deep muscles, tendons and bones. Due to natural resistivity of the body to radiofrequency energy, TR-Therapy creates pleasant selective healing that spreads through the body. TR-Therapy brings not only scientifically proven medical effects but also a great feeling of being relaxed.

How many treatments will I need?

The number of treatment varies depending on the indication and tissue response. The effect of the treatment is cumulative and so you will need more than one treatment, typically 3 – 5 sessions suffice. Very often though, you will experience relief right after the first treatment.
